Stretch goals hit, more to come!

If you missed yesterday's update, be sure to check it out. It has new info on stretch goals that is now very important. Short story: we have hit almost all the initial stretch goals which means there are NEW stretch goals. The EASIEST one to hit only involves you making some substantive post in the comments section (not to this message, but on the project page comments section). Everyone gets a free potion if we hit 100 comments.

Today we officially broke the 750 Facebook followers and 175 Instagram followers, so those levels have been renewed for stretch goals at 775 and 200 (at 200 Instagram, I'll throw in a potion of invisibility token.)

I'm really hoping that we'll get a good finish in the last week of the project. Be sure to make a comment, share the post, like the pages, etc. I've had projects double in the last week before, so 10K is not outside the realm of possibilities. Lets do our best to finish strong!

We are so close to some unlocks that I thought I'd put up a NEW list of unlocks. Here it is:

 As it stands RIGHT NOW, we have:
Facebook Followers: We have 749. We NEED 750 for the Tolkien Token unlock. ONLY ONE AWAY! If you haven't followed the page already, go do so. If you have, tell a friend to go do so!
Instagram Followers: We have 171. We NEED 175 for the Birds-eye Maple unlock. ONLY FOUR AWAY! Go like that page now. Already like it? Tell a friend. This is too close to let slip by.
Pledges: We have $4,497. We need $5,000 for the Curly Cherry unlock. Just over $500. Tell a friend. Post in a group you follow. Share the project. That is only about 5 more backers, so we need to do a little extra and we'll break that goal too!
  

New Stretch Goals

I added a few new stretch goals because I KNOW we'll get through those three very soon. Here is the new stuff.

Advantage Token: At 775 FB followers (www/facebook.com/hrothgarshoard), everybody who pledges (and fills out the survey) gets one free Advantage Token. This is a 50mm hardwood token that says "Advantage" on it and has a space cut out in the middle for a 20 sided die. If you are a DM and want to give your player advantage on a roll at some later date, give your player this token. They can turn it in at any time to roll with advantage.
Greater Healing Token: At 100 Twitter followers everyone  will received on Greater Healing Token. (https://twitter.com/HrothgarsHoard) This is a new design from Hrothgar's Hoard. On the front is a picture of a potion. Engraved on the back is Greater Healing with a brief description of its effects. Pass this out to a player when they find a Greater Healing potion. Potion tokens are a great way to keep track of who has what potion. If they don't have the token, they don't have the potion.
Rosewood Unlock: At $7,500 in pledges I will unlock rosewood as an option for exotic woods. Odds are I will use Honduran Rosewood; I've used this in the past and am confident that I can make a case out of this. There are many different kinds of rosewood and most are either very dense or oily which could effect how well they work with this project. I will let everyone know if I have problems working with this wood.
Healing Potion Unlock: So, I decided to try something to increase the activity on this board which, perhaps, will increase the chances that this project will show up in Kickstarter's Algorithms. If we hit 100 comments (only 54 more than what we have now) EVERYONE will get a free Healing Potion token. This is the same as the Greater Healing, but for the 5E healing potion. However, I want to put one stipulation on this. You actually have to comment something contributory. Ask a question, make an observation, contribute something to the conversation. Don't just take a cheap way out and say something like "I comment" and leave it at that.
  If you guys like the idea of free potion tokens, let me know which potion you want next. Maybe we can add more based on the number of comments left. Invisibility? Giant Strength? Tell me what you want and I'll add it to the list. I made designs for all the potions allowed in the OCR, so lets leave some comments and earn some free stuff.

What is special about the new woods?

  One backer suggested that I provide some more info on the unlock woods like I did with the original batch. So, here is some info on the magical properties of the new woods.
Purpleheart: is a Central and South American hardwood. When freshly cut the heartwood of Purpleheart is a  dull grayish/purplish brown. Upon exposure the wood becomes a deeper eggplant purple. With further age and exposure to UV light, the wood becomes a dark brown with a hint of purple. Purpleheart is a feminine wood good for divination and dreamwork. Best used for those who have high psychic abilities.
Red Oak: The heartwood is a light to medium brown, commonly with a reddish cast, and has straight, coarse grain. It is hard for an American wood (but not nearly as hard as many exotics) with a Janka hardness of 1220.  Red oak is a masculine wood, good for beginners, and is well known for its protective properties.

Birds-Eye Maple: Birdseye Maple is not technically a distinct species of Maple, but rather, it’s a figure that’s occasionally found in Sugar Maple trees. It’s named “birdseye”  because the figure resembles small bird’s eyes. Its magical properties are similar to maple, being useful in healing, intelligence and prosperity.

Curly Cherry: As with Birdseye maple, curly cherry is not a distinct species of Cherry, but a figure sometimes found in Black Cherry trees. The curl gives the wood a "wavy" look similar to "Tiger Maple" figures. As with Cherry, its energy is very present and abundant and helps promote clarity and decision making.

Honduran Rosewood: Honduran Rosewood is a central American wood whose color can range from a deep brownish-purple to a light-brown. Most common is a brownish-mauve color. It is very dense with a Janka hardness of 2,200. In magical circles, Honduran Rosewood is one of the most prized woods in the world. Its wood unlocks secrets of healing, love, creativity and blocking unwanted forces.

Red Oak Unlock!

We got a few pledges last night that put us over the $3,500 goal for pledges. That opens Red Oak as a wood choice.

We are still just a little shy of a couple more unlocks. Our current goals are: 

Free Tolkien Token: Need 750 FB followers, we currently have 741

Bird's Eye Maple: Need 175 Instagram followers, currently have 164

Curly Cherry: Need $5,000 in pledges, Currently at $3,842

I'll update a couple more stretch goals soon. I'm also hoping to get some updated artwork from Charles and Diesel.

I have a couple new things I've been working on that I can add as a micro-goal.

I've kept meaning to update the picture in the stretch goals section and it has been slipping my mind. Today I took care of that (I'm posting it below as well).

Here is an update on how close we are to several of the goals:

Free Tolkien Token: Need 750 FB followers. We are currently at 739. Only 11 more for this free unlock.

Red Oak Unlock: Need $3,500 in pledges. We are at over $3,200. We only need a few hundred bucks.

Bird's Eye Maple Unlock: Need 175 Instagram followers. We are at 164. Only 11 more for this unlock.

That is 3 unlocks that can be taken down in a day if we got the shares out.

Gen Con is done...new news.

Hello everyone. I'm back from Gen Con and back in the workshop. It was a heck of a weekend and I came back exhausted, but you know how the saying goes...no rest for the wicked, so now I get to catch up on orders, get out shipments and get the word out on this campaign.

A few stretch goal updates:
