Just a quick update.
I'm down to the final 10 rewards. Some of them just need another coat of lacquer, a couple are awaiting responses from backers and a couple need a bit more work.
I'm at Ohayo Con this weekend, but I'm hoping to get a few more out before I leave. Then I have at least 2 weeks before I have another event and will be pushing to get everything else out in that time frame.

Friday before Xmas update

I'm about to hit the post office for my friday deliveries. The numbers so far:
Out of a total 43 backers who completed their surveys on time, 23 are (or about to be) shipped and 20 are left. Those that are left mostly ones that I didn't have all the pieces parts together in order to ship out by today.
I have two orders that are full but awaiting a response from the backers before I can ship them.
I think I have about six more cases that are complete, but not ready to ship. I'll try to get these done over the weekend and shipped out on Monday. They won't be delivered until after xmas, but shouldn't be too late.
After that, it is a matter of figuring out what is needed to finish off the rest. I know I'm short on a few tops, I'm short on a few towers, etc. Once I figure those things out, I'll be able to ship those as well.
So to those who don't receive your reward by the holidays, I am sorry, but will be working to get those out the door. I'll be back next week with another update on that progress.

9 Days until Xmas...what this means.

Last week I got five orders shipped bringing the total of orders shipped to a whopping 9. Honestly that is far below what I had hoped. I had really forgotten how busy I get with online orders at Christmas time, so it's been a juggling act on keeping the machines going with the right things to get both xmas orders and this project online. I only have 30 more to go, but even with that, it is going to be tough to get everything out by the weekend.
In fact, I can say with a good amount of certainty that if you pledged for a curly cherry or birdseye maple, I won't be able to get those out in time. I still have to make the towers for those and am going to focus on getting what I have completed out the door before I go back to those.
There are a couple other one-offs that I either didn't get to or didn't have enough wood for. I'm not positive which ones, but I know there are some parts missing here and there.
My plan right now is to try to get at least 25 out this week. That will cover the majority of backers and for those that I miss, I do apologize, but I should be able to finish those up soon afterwards.
I'll make another post by the end of the week with another update.

Short update

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update on where things stand.
As of right now, I have about 80% of the cases cut and assembled. This week they will get sanded and sprayed with finish. I only have about 10% of the towers completed, so still have a ways to go on that.
My Chinese supplier for clasps dropped the ball and my order is somewhere out in the ether. They said they'd re-ship, but I don't have confidence that they will arrive in time, so today I put in an order for 50 sets of clasps on Amazon. They should arrive this week..possibly in the next day or two.
Once the cases and towers are grouped, I'll begin engravings (probably ship those without engravings while I"m working on that). At GameHole, I picked up the mouse pads from Charles Urbach. So given all of that I may be able to start shipping next week.
Again, I don't want to over-promise. I'm doing my best to close this out by Christmas if for no other reason than it lets me start working on my next project; I hate it when projects overlap. I'll check back in next week with another update.

To my backers in the USA, have a happy Thanksgiving. And while you may be tempted to go out on Black Friday and spend lots of money on the great deals out there, be sure to keep in mind the small and local businesses in your area. Money spent with them means far more to them than it does to the big box stores.
