Pledges locked

Many of you may be getting a message saying that there could be a problem with the lock-down. All you should need to do is go back into your backerkit survey and re-submit it.  I'm not sure why this happened, but it should be easy enough to clear up.

I got one pledge ready to ship today. I am going to be out of town over the weekend, so probably won't get to any more until Monday.

We are on our way.

There are still a few people who haven't turned in their survey. I will send out a reminder, but be sure to take a look at this fairly soon.

I'm going to start cutting pieces for the prelim list, but I probably won't really start work until after GameHole at the end of the month. IF YOU ARE GOING TO GAMEHOLE, and want to pick up there, send me a message and I'll see what I can do. No promises, but I have a couple weeks before the con and can give it my best. 

After GameHole is over, I'll be devoting the bulk of my time to getting these out. I'll start locking in pledges and charging cards around Nov. 10, so if there were any last minute changes you wanted, be sure to do them before then. I'll ship as I get orders finished, so figure by the end of November, people should start receiving packages.

Thanks to all who backed this project. The next project will hopefully launch soon after the first of the year. I will be something that focuses on small items, so it will have a low price point and low goal set. It'll be  little bit of a change for me and I hope people like it.

Pledge question update

I just noticed that I didn't provide a question where backers could tell me things I might need to know to finish their pledge. I have added that question to ALL pledge questions. While you do not need to answer this, if  you want to provide any extra information for me, please go back to your survey and see if you can add the info to it. It is in the 'pledge questions' section, right at the beginning, not after you go into the add-on store.

Most of the surveys are in, but there are a few out. Like I said before, I won't start closing anything out until next week, and probably won't start real work on the project until November, so you have time to finish if you need it.

What's a Character Card, anyways?

Some of you might have noticed an item called a Character Card in the add-on store. You may be wondering what this is.

Well, it is the prototype of one of the items that will be in my next project. It is a wood card that tracks your spells, hit points, Spell Save DC and attack modifier. Take a look here:

I apologize for the picture quality....I just took a quick pic on my camera.

So, as you can see, you have a dice bank at the bottom, and then you place a 6 sided die on the spell level with the number face up that tells you how many spells you have left. When you cast a spell, you turn the appropriate die down one number. When you take a long rest, you reset everything to your max.

The middle of the Character Card, you have a pair of wheels that you can turn to show your current Spell  Save DC and your current Spell Attack Modifier. 

At the very top are a pair of wheels that turn so you can track your hit points. The left-side dial goes up to 19, so you can use this even if your character has 199 hp.

These are prototypes, so for now they are only available in 1/8" baltic birch plywood. Once I get everything down on them I may start offering them in specific woods, but I'm a little concerned about warping on something using this thin of wood.

I'm selling these as prototypes for only $15.

Like I said, this will probably be a PART of my next project. I'm hoping to launch in January, but I'm not going to put too much thought into it until I get this current project firmly in hand. In addition to this type of character card, there are going to be cards available for most all specific classes...so a Bard will have Inspiration worked into it, Barbarians a rage, etc. I designed a few during the campaign, but a lot of it is in concept stages right now.

Everyone check your email; the surveys are out. Follow the link that Backerkit gives you, and choose your options and any add-ons that you want.

International backers, please contact me regarding your shipping when you are done choosing your items. I will get the weights for everything and find out the correct shipping amount. If there is still outstanding shipping to be owed, I'll let you know. If I've charged you too much for shipping I can either give you more product or refund the shipping difference. I'm sorry for this extra step, but it seems like I get hammered on international shipping with every project.
